The human body uses electrical impulses mainly from the brain to function. All the cells in our body produce Bio-Energy. When this energy level is high, the cells function properly (e.g. nutritional absorption takes place and toxins are discharged). When we get diseases or overly stressed, and are continually bombarded by toxins everyday, our cells are affected and the Bio-Energy level is dramatically reduced. Therefore, our cells cannot function at their best and release toxins efficiently.

How often should I Detox?

The manufacturers recommend once or twice weekly treatments. For those suffering from illnesses, the frequency should be reduced. This is because, for those who are unwell, their bodies go into "healing" mode after treatment, during which they may feel tired or lethargic. In our experience most people feel lethargic immediately afterwards, and feel the benefits over the following days. Some time is required for the body to fully recover, and a follow-up treatment should not be given for a few days, or until they feel fully recovered.

Does The Ionic Detox Sessions cure ailments

No. It is simply a machine which enables your body to re-balance its bio-energetic fields which stimulates self-detoxification. When the electro-magnetic fields are balanced, the body's organs will naturally function better.

How long should I have a treatment for?

In an adult body, the cycle of blood takes approximately 20 minutes for one complete cycle. Therefore, to stay on the machine for less than 20 minutes would not be harmful in any way, but would not be beneficial either. This cycle is considerably less for children, and the recommended treatment times refelct this. Adults should have the full 30 minutes, children 15 minutes. It should not be used on children under the age of 5.

After a treatment, will I be restricted in my activities?

No, you can go about your daily business as usual. The most common side effect we have experienced is that you may feel tired directly after the treatment and feel the benefits over the next few days.

Who can not cannot receive the treatment?

The Detox Foot Treatment is safe for most people, however the following cannot have the Detox Treatment:

Persons with a pacemaker
During pregnancy (or suspected pregnancy)
Persons with implanted organs
Persons with epilepsy
Persons currently undergoing any form of radiotherapy or chemotherapy
Persons with type 1 Diabetes
Persons with open wounds on their feet

Why does the water change color?

When waste leaves the body via the sweat glands, i.e. perspiration, it is clear. The waste from our bodies reacts with the water causing color changes. Part of the color change can occur due to the properties within the water supply, the natural corrosion of the array when the ions are produced.

Why is salt added to the water?

Water is a poor conductor of electricity. To improve the conductivity of the water salt is required. As a general guide half to one level teaspoon of salt is sufficient, however this may vary depending on your water type. The unit has a digital reading and a manual to insure the best results.

What does the session feel like?

Most people do not feel any sensation, although sensitive people may feel a slight tingling in the feet. After the 30 minute session the feet usually feel wonderful!

Can I have Foot Spa Detox treatments whilst taking prescription drugs?

In general, prescription drugs consumed on a daily basis which stimulate the body’s defence system, regulate a deficient system or stimulate detoxification would be considered compatible with the treatment. However, it is not advisable for those taking life saving medication unless prior medical consent is given.

How long isl the treatment?

The treatment time is recommended for a 30 minute Session.

Will I suffer any side effects from the treatment?

Generally no. However, some people have experienced mild headaches, or mild flu like symptoms, after treatment. Drinking plenty of water during the treatment cycle and after the session to continue flushing.

How many treatments should I have?

Ideally, two per week for the first month. Subsequently, we recommended 1 treatment every two weeks to maintain optimum levels of detoxification.

Why does the water change color?

There will be a reaction between the array and the saline solution, which will give a light orange/yellow tint to the water. This is a natural occurrence and is the sodium being drawn out of the salt by the current.

The toxins expelled from your system will also contribute to the discolor of the water, but this will diminish over the course of regular treatments as fewer and fewer toxins are released. The water will get gradually lighter over a course of treatments but will not ever be completely clear as there are trace toxins naturally present in tap water.

Why does there appear to be deposits floating on top of the Water?

Again, this can be as a result of the reaction between the array and saline solution. Or, it can be deposits drained from the lymph glands and or pores.
